--Decided making the feet according to pattern would be a nightmare since that would mean 4 toes, each with tails of 2 strands etc. Instead, I cast on the full 16 stitches and joined to knit in the round 9 rounds. Then I kitchener stitched it closed. To shape toes I used some embroidery floss and stitched the crevices between the toes. Looks good and a lot less fiddly.
