Notes

12/12/14-- Ch 154 + 3 to start. Trying an interlocking ripple. I think it will look nice, but I wish Caron Simply Soft had better blues. I would have liked a more mono tone look I guess. We’ll see how it turns out. I think I’ll keep going. Pattern repeat is 2 dark country blue, 1 robins egg, 1 dark country blue, 2 robins egg, 1 white, 1 robins egg, 2 white, 1 dark country blue, 1 white, repeat. I’ll take some measurements tomorrow and do some math to figure out how many repeats I’ll need to finish this afghan. I’m making another toddler/crib sized afghan. They’re popular at baby showers, so might as well keep them coming!

12/18/2014-- One skein of yarn in each color gets me 5 pattern repeats. I’m thinking 12-14 repeats to complete. I’ll need to measure and lay it out for a better idea. It’s coming a long fairly quickly. I need it completed by Jan. 16th to be washed, dried and wrapped for a shower on the 18th of January. I have no doubts I’ll have it done. Just hoping I have time to do some borders on fleece blankets. Maybe a satin trimmed blanket too. I don’t want to get too ambitious and disappoint myself. I wanted to do a couple hats for my great niece and a princess lovey for Christmas, so this may be set aside for a couple days.

12/31/2014--almost done! Just 7 more rows I think.

1/3/2015-- I think I’m done. It feels done, but it also feels a bit unbalanced. I’d like to do a round of robin’s egg and end with a round of navy, but I think that would look stranger. So I guess it’s done? I’ll get a second opinion from my husband. UTA: my husband thought it looked good, so I wove in all my ends and I’ll call it done!

98 rows total, 8 pattern repeats, with 2 dark country blue to finish off.
