08-31-2023 Gauge swatch in the round

I followed this video to learn how to do this type of gauge swatch. Per pattern, I followed chart 8 for 15 rows, but I started with 3x the amount of stitches required as fsc. Joined in a circle and continued as shown on chart.

09-10-2023 Silly mistake made in Row 20…

… Discovered in row 23. Not ripping back to make the correction. I was too anxious to finish the colour work and was rushing.

09-12-2023 Modified yoke length & divide row

Followed the pattern for Size 5 for length only. Ended on Row 26

For the Divide, used fsc instead of ch for the armhole

09-15-2023 Modifications on the body …

  1. Working linen stitch for the body (not in the back loop) as it moves faster than sc in each stitch around.

  2. After reaching the length to my natural waist, placed markers at each side and used 4mm hook for the back and 5mm hook for the front of the sweater.

  3. Followed Size 10 pattern for length only (60 rows); the 60th row = sc in each st and ch sp

  4. Continued with 5mm hook only to complete the “Bottom Design” and ribbing at hem

09-25-2023 Sleeves and their modifications

  1. Following patt for Size 5 to match mod for bottom of yoke/armhole
  2. Using 5.0mm hook for entire sleeve; keeping the tension a little bit loose
  3. Using linen stitch and NOT working in the back loop
  4. Adding 10 even rows (no decreases) after Row 56 before the bottom design; the last row is 1 sc in each st.

09-30-2023 Sleeve design and cuff …

Switched back to 4.0mm hook for the sleeve design and ribbed cuff.

09-30-2023 Measurements for blocking

23.5” = full length
8.5” from shoulder to bottom of yoke
16” sleeve from underarm to cuff
