Cast on for 40” size on size 10 needles. Guage on 10s is 16 stitches and 24 rows to 4 inches after blocking. I’ll adjust length as I go, as the pattern guage is 16 st. and 20 rows.

Frogged project then cast on again on size 8 needles. I didn’t like how open the fabric was when knit on size 10 needles, even though it fit. I’m working the pattern two sizes bigger than my desired size (42”) on needles two sizes smaller than what was called for. I believe it will come out just right.

This was the project that I just didn’t seem to want to make. I would work on just about anything else but this sweater, which is why it took so very long to finish. It’s not the pattern, it’s me. I’m not sure I love knitting sweaters.

The fit is great, the pattern was easy to follow. I just wish I had made it about two inches shorter, but it’s okay as is. I did not shorten the sleeves, but did not include the last four decrease rounds, as that would have made the sleeves too tight around.
