I started out intending for this to be Nicole Masson’s Carré Soleil Round pocket. The overall structure is still similar, but I went with the Somalia Square and a tear-dropish side. I used Alice Merino’s Granny Straps for the strap. The buttons are free formed circles around a button and two dimes.

I was going to line the inside, but having no talent in hand sewing and no sewing machine, I opted to leave it unlined for now. It just for me to carry around my wallet and phone anyway. :)

As far as the pattern goes… I had a hard time following the video when it got to the white. What she said and how the stitches fell just didn’t seen to line up right for me. Written English instructions would have rocked, but after a few views, I came up with a system that worked.

The sides are basically a circle with a rectangle coming off the top (think fat thermometer). I single crocheted the entire thing together, right-sides together for the main body and wrong-sides together for the sides. I dipped the whole thing in a hodge podge and water solution and blocked it into shape. Attached the strap today. Done and done.

On a side note, I don’t recommend using a F hook with Simply Soft. It thought I was going to burn the whole thing in effigy if the yarn split one more time…
