This is another gorgeous Bohus Stickning design by Kerstin Olsson from 1961 and recreated by Solveig Gustafsson in 2012. I purchased the yarn kit from an online destash long after Soveig retired.

This design is most impressive in person as the background colors in the pattern work of the yoke are black, dark brown and deep purple making the ‘grillwork’ even more impressive as the colors meld.

I started this project as a ‘tweener’ meaning something I could knit on while in between other projects…mainly, waiting for yarns to arrive and new designs to be published by AngoraGarnet. I am just a tiny bit surprised how much I really, really like this one as it was very different to knit the pattern work.

I started to work on it in earnest again when I ran out of one of the colors for Mörkt Löv and must keep busy while the replacement yarn is on its way from Sweden. I am halfway thru the second sleeve but will return to finish the bottom as soon as this sleeve is finished.
