I have been knitting this for over a month and I want to make some notes about size.
I bought yarn thinking I will knit size XL. Then I realised that XL would be over 40 cm positive ease for me… 40 cm was recommended in the pattern.

I cast on for size L, even though it might be slight under 40 cm positive ease at my tummy/hip area at the correct gauge.

I happily knitted away until it was time to choose the size for the armhole.
I read the size of the armhole and realised that was not going to be an armhole to my liking.
I made the armhole the size of size 3XL’s armhole.
After picking up the stitches as I found pleasing, the number of stitches matched size XXL.

When I laid out the body (unblocked) it matched the size M perfectly…

My conclusion is that I really wanted to knit all the sizes at the same time

Gauge is important, I know.

Luckily I really like what it looks like on me, even if it doesn’t magically make me look like Joji. I am happily continuing to knit this somewhat more traditionally shaped cardigan
