I used 2.5/3.00 mm to get a gauge of 28 st and 32 rows. As several said the hat was small, went with smaller gauge to added another 33 repeat for a adult hat. I cast on 164. purled the first row then knit the first row of pattern (2 colors) and did 11 rows. I knit all of row 11 to make it more even. I plan repeat row 1-6 and row 38-43 to add height, if it turns into a slouchy that is fine. I would rather have it bigger than to short. I will flip the skulls.

blocked gauge was 32 stitches not sure if I measured wrong first time.
love the slouchy effect. wish there was a better joggles join for stranded work with out being bulky.
