Notes

Trying the lazy way of shrinking these to child size--smaller yarn and needles. If they don’t fit Marie, they should fit Doug. I wanted to use 3mm needles, but I don’t seem to have any; nor do I have more than three 3.25mm needles, so 2.75mm it is.

Mods:

I am keeping this in rib stitch so hopefully there is more chance of it fitting. Because of this, I am not reducing for the wrist, just knitting 35 rounds of 36 sts before placing the thumb.

Also gonna knock 5 rounds off the finger portion before the shaping, since they were long for Erik on that portion. Gonna use the round toe shaping again here, but k2tog instead of ssk.

I didn’t do great at keeping the ribbing going while reducing. My first time to ever try that.

Thumbs are 15 rounds, but the last one is k2tog around. Much easier to weave together this way.

The whole project was incredibly tedious on such small needles, but I like the way it turned out. Probably the choice of the yarn was not the best, though, as they simply didn’t use enough yarn to take advantage of the long color runs.
