Another stashbuster! I was kindly given this yarn as a very tangled partial skein by Clare of Nimu Yarns in the hope it could be salvaged for hexipuffs - after several hours of untangling (thanks, Mum!) at almost 70g there was far too much to use just for that.
This lovely little pattern came to the rescue. It was queued to make with another yarn, but hey, a girl can’t have too many hats!
Made using magic loop on slightly bigger circular needles at 3.5mm as I prefer loose hats. Switched to DPNs after K2tog every stitch, it’s quicker than fiddling with cables after every few stitches.
Disaster! finished this but where I’d switched to DPNs my tension changed and so I initially frogged the last few inches but didn’t find the motivation to reknit them and ended up frogging the lot!
It’s a lovely pattern and I’ll knit it again, but next time I’ll magic loop all the way!
