First swatch. Started on 3,0mm needles, as I’m a loose knitter and animal fibres might grow during washing. Gauge seems looser with Roosimine, but it’s also less stretchy than stockinette.
Drops Air looks very good as CC.
MC yarn splits quite easily. Ordered another set of yarn and will decide after swatching that.

Second swatch, now with Drops Baby Merino.

I prefer the structure of Air as CC.

3,25mm needles
Before blocking: stockinette 27st, 40 rows; Roosimine 26st
After blocking: stockinette 22 st, 32 rows

3,0mm needles
Before blocking: stockinette 28st, 40 rows; Roosimine 28st (but looks looser)
After blocking: stockinette 26st, 35 rows, Roosimine 27st, 28 rows

I will use 3,0mm needles and stretch the Roosimine just a little more while working it.

Roosimine section finished!

I’ve used 22 grams of CC yarn for yoke + swatch. That is 66 meters.

Yoke is now 18cm deep, that’s 33 rows per cm gauge (pretty close).

One section is 7cm, gauge 28 st/10cm, so the Roosimine might be a bit tight.

Paused the body to knit the sleeves.
Sleeves length should be about 43 cm. That would be 150 rows. Unblocked they should be 36 cm.

First fitting: it’s so pretty!

Sleeves are 37cm unblocked after 145 rows. Will knit to 150 rows and then do decreases.

Body is 27cm unblocked. Needs 9cm extra from marker. Of that, 3cm will come from blocking. So I will knit 18 more rows.

Bottom hem bound off. It rolls up quite a lot. I will wait with the finishing until after blocking, so I could run some elastic through the i-cord.

Almost done, just need to weave in the ends.

Leftover ball is 42g

Sweater is 356g, of which circa 21g CC.

Without swatch:

Gauge on finished sweater is 26,5st and 35 rows for stockinette.
Gauge 26st and 33 rows for Roosimine.
