Notes

May use the Ladder Back Jaquard method to carry/ anchor the floats.

9.13. For one reason or another I didn’t see Barbara until today. Did a fitting today and the size Large is perfect.
Now I can continue.

Following the Sockmatician‘s instructions:

The Ladder Back Jaquard method is working out quite well, it keeps the material nice and stretchy which is a good thing for a tam.
It took me about 20 rounds before I felt more at ease with this method of carrying the yarn and finding a rhythm. I think it is well worth it, probably not absolutely necessary for the pattern, but I like learning new things and going the extra mile.

Dividing stitches on two circulars. When the number of stitches lessened and I had to start the smaller circumference on two circular needles on round 34, I split them up from the middle of the previous repeat to accommodate the center double decreases and shifting of beginning of round/ repeats. From round 35 needle 1 was holding stitch 9 to 18 of the last repeat until stitch 9 and the Jaquard ladder back next to it, of repeat three. Needle 2 held the other half of the stitches.
The decreases go very fast to get the flat top of the tam.
