This yarn was the Knitcrate August Malabrigo subscription 2020. Two skeins of the same colorway, however, one was 100% Merino at 420 yards (Mechita) and the other (Mora) was 100% Bombyx at 225 yards. The latter being shiny and slippery on metal needles.
It took me a long time to decide if i should keep the yarn or sell it.
After searching for a simple pattern, I found the “Something Simple Shawl” and thought that the garter stitch would bring out the colors. For the body of the shawl I used the Mechita and i added a random eyelet row a few times. I knit until the 420 yards were used up and switched to the Mora for the border to give it some sheen. Also, the border is a eyelet pattern throughout.
