I thought this yarn felt prickly when I bought it but knitting it: it is soft and wonderful.

While making the center panel I decided that I have very little use for a small shawl but I do need a shrug so I will make a shrug out of this! That way the wolf will show off better as well. I kept knitting the center panel pattern until 94 rows and then continued to knit both sides until 103 rows. After binding off and blocking I will knit the sleeves as rectangles like in many shrug patterns. I will pick up stitches on the sides of the center panels as you would do for the shawl wings, increase a few stitches and then knit the lace pattern rows 1-9 until the sleeve is long enough.

Picked up 60 sts and knit 3 rows (+PU-row) before starting the pattern.
After blocking the center panel I picked up 60 sts on each side for the sleeve and knit flat with the yo, k2tog, k2-pattern shifting it one stitch to the left every 8 rows:
rows 1-8 k2 then yo, k2tog, k2 until end (all worng side rows k2, purl until last 2 sts, k2)
rows 9-16 k3 then yo, k2tog, k2 until the end
rows 17-24 k4 then yo, k2tog, k2 until the end and
rows 25-32 k5 then yo, k2tog, k2 until the end.
Rows 33-37 knit right side rows and purl wrong side rows. On row 38 bind off with super stretchy BO.
Sew together the armholes and you’re done!
