As soon as I saw Pat’s first pic of her C2C Ribbon Blanket I knew I wanted to make it!
She used 4 colours, plus white but I decided to make each ribbon a different colour, so I needed 9 colours!
They are almost exclusively Paypatya Batik. I had to make do with a different brand for the green ,as it was out of stock, which was a mistake as it turned out the alternative I chose had 20% wool and was therefore a lot thinner…..
I’m using Bonus DK for the white.
I checked my tension and settled on a 4.5 km hook for the colours and 4 mm for the white.
The pattern has 4 blocks per square and makes a baby blanket. I did 6 blocks per square and have a lap size.
I’ve only made one C2C blanket before and it only used one colour! But following Pat’s instructions I quickly got into it and changing colour so often really made it grow fast!

The C2C stitch has a lovely thick, squishy texture. Apart from the green that had to be steam blocked to size….
