Can you see chevrons pointing in both directions?

When I first look at this I always see the dark purple chevrons. When I look again I see lilac chevrons pointing the other way.

The photos show the cushion with, and without, the cushion pad inside. The effect can be seen best when the knitting is completely flat. It gets distorted at the edge when the pad is inside.

The other photo shows what you see when you look straight down on the cushion - the chevrons have disappeared!

This is very easy to knit. It just requires basic knit and purl.

I made a plain purple back,

The pattern contains charts for two illusion cushions. I also made Confusion Illusion Arrows.
