This is a good pattern for using up oddments of yarn, even when you don’t know what thickness they are because it doesn’t use a particular gauge.

I made these for a brother and sister. For the boy’s slippers I used an unknown blues/purples variegated yarn. I picked out some of the colours and used Stylecraft Special DK along with the variegated yarn for the different parts of the slipper. The colours can be seen in one of the photos. I did the same for the girl’s slipper using a pinks/yellows variegated yarn.
