This Viajante was knit with a larger garter section before joining to create a wider neck. I also increased more often than prescribed to make the width grow more quickly through the body. Because my previous Viajante edging curls on me when worn, I chose to incorporate the Out of Darkness shawl edging with glass beads. I added a few extra beads further up in the lace chart and did a picot (3 stitch) bind off with one bead at the end of each picot. The finished product is shorter and a bit more manageable than the original Viajante design and I’m very excited for Fall to arrive so I can show it off proudly.
