I have a lovely DK tweed alpaca yarn. A bit thinner than the original.

AND I have a lumberjack customer with a giant head.

So, I’ve added a row 6a, with 2dc in 1 st, and 5 dc in the next 5 st. 72 was just not enough stitches to go around the block, and from row 7 it was just continuing without increases. I now probably have 84 st at the end of each row (probably). I’m too rubbish at maths to just know, and I’m too lazy to count them ;)

Let’s hope it works out ok.

Not sure why the pattern asks me to ch 1 to start a new row of hdc or even dc… I’ve never seen this before. I think I’ll stick to the usual ch2 or ch3… it makes sense to me.

I made it to row 13inc.

Oops, it’s way too big…
I’ll undo and re-consider my 6a… maybe the stretchiness of the stitches makes 72 enough…

It fits perfectly :). Time for bed though :)
