There is a mistake in cable pattern rows 9 and 11. It should say T3F and T3B not C3F and C3B.

My gauge was larger than the pattern’s so I used the 0-6 month stitch count and the 1-2 year length measurements/row count to fit size 1-2 years.

I didn’t go down a needle size for the rib because I thought using such small needles with this yarn would be uncomfortable.

I worked this hat in the round instead of flat. I cast on 80 sts for the rib instead of 82 sts, decreased to 61 sts after the rib instead of 63 sts, and then increased to 67 sts for the body instead of 69 sts.

Instead of working 38 sts in stockinette and 31 sts in the cable pattern I worked 36 sts in stockinette.

I didn’t split the stockinette sts in half so it would be easier to seam the front to the back so I worked the first 36 sts in stockinette and the last 31 sts in the cable pattern.

I grafted the sts together at the top using Kitchener stitch.

Instead of decreasing within the cable panel per the pattern, I decreased 1 stitch in the center of the stockinette section so I would have 66 sts so I could graft the front and back together with an equal number of sts. I then had to move the beginning of round marker over 1 stitch so there would be 1 stockinette stitch on either side of the cable panels.
