This pullover eponymously simple enough to be an ideal choice for first-time garment knitters. For these reasons and because it has an inclusive size range, it is the sweater we have chosen for our My First Sweater class. There are so many great yarn options for this sweater, so every student can make their ideal garment.

Our sample used eight balls of Drops Air in Old Pink. We made the worsted-weight version, but our sample gauge came out looser than the pattern suggests. We did the neck ribbing first (rather than at the end), did not include bust shaping, and made a cropped length version.
