Sized up to a medium to use Rowan Kid Classic and blocked according to schematic for small. Would have preferred a looser bind off, or maybe I did so tightly - not a problem regardless as the fit is perfect. Really happy with the look and finished product!

Used up the yarn almost entirely. I turned over the buttons since the shade underneath was slightly better, something I hadn’t noticed when I bought them.

About the pattern:
Really enjoyed top down construction. Even though I like seams and prefer sewing the pieces together, was pleasantly surprised with the result and didn’t mind the new-to-me technique at all, so this won’t be my last. Far from boring as well and very, very quick!

The pattern however is not easy to follow at first. According to the introductory notes and pattern description the shaping occurs in the stockinette section, but as you progress into the pattern the lace is indeed affected on both sides. Countless froggings due to contradiction and the way the instructions need to be interpreted - for a paid for pattern there really could have been a bit more clarification in the directions, or maybe just an edit to the introductory notes might help prevent any further confusion. Regardless, this is a pattern that I really do love and would use again.
