Put this one down for a few months to finish Avienne’s Entrelac Sweater, but wanted it to be ready for my trip to SF.
This cotton is crazy nubby, which took a lot of getting used to. I originally hated it, but it became much smoother to work with after a few days.
The pattern was easy enough to follow with lots of details that really helped.
My yarn had a significantly larger gauge, so I did a little adjusting with the smallest size pattern to achieve a good enough size.
There are 2 pretty annoying mistakes I made with this pattern - 1, the length is longer than I wanted it to be. To arrive at a better length for me, I just left the hem without an edge and let it roll up naturally. I quite like the look, actually. 2, being the lazy-ass knitter that I am, I didn’t write down how many stitches I actually picked up for the first sleeve and ended up picking up 6 more stitches on the second sleeve. I didn’t realize this until the 10th or 12th stripe in, and decided to screw it. I ended up sewing in the 6 extra stitches inside the bottom seam of the sleeve to make them even. My intention is to go back and re-knit the sleeve, but let’s be honest: that’s so unlikely to happen.
I like the end product and this yarn is really incredible when worn. Like a silk noil knit, which suits me just fine. Let’s just hope I don’t ruin it in the wash!! (fingers crossed!)

ETA: washed in the machine in a bag on delicate and hang dried; came out perfect.
