I love this super soft (Lion Brand Jeans) yarn. It makes for a cute monkey.

For the overalls I joined them in the round. On round 15 I started knitting back and forth for the tail until the instructions say to join in the round.

As others have recommended, I used a yarn over then knit in the back loop next round, for the increases on the mouth.

My timer says it took says it took 10 hours 30 minutes to knit the monkey. I didn’t set the timer for the overalls, but I finished it in one day.
