Note to self, don’t start a navy project at 9:00 PM.
I’m adapting my Cap Sleeved Dress for Tiny Rag Dolls pattern to fit the critters. I think I got pretty close on the first try. Navy probably wasn’t the best choice for pattern development. It’s hard to see the details too.

Well phoey I am pretty sure I typed in my mods as I worked, but One Note doesn’t seem to have them no matter what search I try. It looks like you can’t search history in that program either. Grrr… On the positive side, I do think I mostly remember what I did. Good thing I didn’t wait a week to try and look for the pattern. I’ll move working on the pattern to the top of my queue of things to do. It will help having the finished dress to compare to. Sure wish it wasn’t navy so the stitches would be easier to see.

Version 2 - pink. I managed to save my notes this time. I knitted this one with size 1 needles again. It fits, but looks bulky. I think size 0s will be better.

Version 3 - bright pink. Size 0 needles gave me a better fit. I think I need to add a stitch in the front and change how I did the back to allow for a smoother fit around the tail.
Version 4 - dark red. Much better! I think I like everything about this one. It’s amazing how much different it lookd with the one extra stitch in the front. I like the longer length too. I may try one without the purl bumps at the waist.
Now to sew on buttons.

Having issues with yarn weights. I’m trying some Brown Sheep Nature Spun which is thin.
Teal - per pattern on #1 needles. Row three measures 3”
I finished row 14.
Rust - per pattern on #2 needles. Row three measures 3.5”.
I finished this one, including sewing on the button. This could be an answer for thinner yarn, but it seems a bit big to me and long too.

I finished the teal dress. It fits almost exactly like the Palette versons with a size smaller needles. So much for the idea that only measuring 3” at row three was going to make it too small.
All seven of the buttons are sewn on! I am really pretty good about doing those finishing tasks if what I need is at hand. If I have to go upstairs to find it, not so much.
