The base hat crocheted up quickly and is cute. I used a thinner yarn, so I should have made the bigger size. I didn’t, so I added a row with a few increases at the end, then did the bill as written.

I added cat ears, muzzle and face based on Amineko cats. This hat is part of a project where my grandtwins, aged 8, each drew an outfit and I made it for them. Actually one wound up with two outfits because she had another idea while we were FaceTiming about the first one.

I spent a ridiculously long time embroidering the belt and while the original drawing is immediately recognizable as a cat, I’m not so sure about the embroidery. Oh well, I tried.
