NOTE: When patt says to cast off a certain number of stitches, it doesn’t account for the varying stitch counts between rows due to the ‘loaf’ motifs. Try to reduce those stitches down to just one stitch before/during casting them off or it will create flare.

Similarly, if I knew I didn’t have at least 6 more rows to work before casting off, I didn’t start making new ‘leaves’ because I didn’t want partial ones anywhere in the fabric. I just worked those rem rows entirely in rev-st-st.

MODS:

• BOTTOM RIB: The body’s pattern is fairly stretchy as the stitch-count inflates to make the ‘loaves’. This made the ribbing seem tighter than I typically like, so I frogged it to start over. I cast on as for the 3-6m size (one size up) and worked the ribbing for the next 7 rows. On the 8th row of rib, I evenly decreased to get back to the correct number for my size.
• To perform the ‘make3’, I made a yo in the middle instead of a p1. Then, on the next WS row, I purled into the back of the yo to twist it.
• Neckband: I only worked 5 rows of rib.
• Buttonbands: I only picked up 49 sts, not 58. I knit the first two rows to make a garter ridge. Then I worked 6 rows of 1x1 rib, not 2x2 rib. Then I cast off in patt. (Buttonholes were made every 10 sts in the third row of ribbing.)
