Gonna gauge and start this baby this week because I am on ~vacation~

So my gauge was once again too small so I am using sz 9s as the large size and probably back to 6s for the small.
The Wool of the Andes is rough! It got a little better after blocking, but it is still going to be an itchy s.o.b. Also, idk if it was the Euclan wash or the yarn but my blocked swatch smelled kinda barnyardy… Also the color ran ever so slightly.
In any case, I made it past the arm holes and I am ready for miles and miles of stockinette in front of the tube! Ready for fall/winter hibernation!

Working on sleeve #1. Fits great so far!

I bound off sleeve #1 a few days ago and started sleeve #2. Waiting to finish the bottom until the end in case I want to make the stockinette longer. I prrrrobably have enough yarn to do it anyway but I don’t want to chance it.

The home stretch! Just have to add a bit to the body length then do the garter border and it’ll be done. So warm!

Donezo! Some final notes after wash & block:
I was not kidding. This thing smells like sheep. Part of its charm I suppose. :)
The colors bled a bit in the wash and it came out quite a bit bluer than before. It also fuzzed and grew ever so slightly, which I anticipated based on the swatch. I didn’t measure it yet but I’m imagining it came out a little closer to the M/L size. Not a tight fit, but good. And it is so nice to have a garment with long enough sleeves! The woes of the gangly…
I sized up the needles based on my swatch but I think I could have made it in the more form-fitting size with the smaller needles. Still, glad I didn’t chance it.
Lastly, it is very scratchy stuff, this wool. I can handle it but sensitive skin-havers beware!
