Notes

I knitted this for a Christmas gift, so I didn’t want to make too many alterations or modifications to the pattern.
I followed the pattern almost exactly, following all of the recommended measurements.

For the brim, I cast on using Longtail CO method because I find it easy to pick up stitches from this CO. I then marked every 10 stitches using a safety pin type stitch marker, directly into the cast on stitch itself. This made it super easy to line up the stitches when folding the brim and knitting together.

I did modify the decreases, replacing the Slip 1, K, pass over stitch with an SSK, because I thought it looked a bit neater.

Overall, I really enjoyed knitting this, it was such a quick knit and the finished hat looks so professional, I’m really impressed with how it looks. I’ll definitely be knitting more of this pattern.
I am a bit annoyed though that I had to buy 2 skeins of yarn and only ended up using 6g of the 2nd skein!

Update to say I found a use for my leftover skein of yarn! Matching Oslo Hat Toddler for another Christmas gift!
