Notes

2/2022

Beautiful and very versatile little sweater. It can be easily dressed up or down and I like it very much!!! I even started to wear it and I took the pictures before washing and blocking itrelaxed.
Definitely not my last one!
The yarns are from my old stash and I love the combination, it is light, soft and wearable next to skin, regardless of the mohair content. The color is true in the last modeled pics. It is a lovely pale pinkish purple - grey, like lilac flowers, but it was difficult to capture it.

Heavily modified, following Tulip0808’s approach.

  • Size XS, to get a M/L size using different yarns & gauge.
  • Provisional winding cast on at the separation line between collar and body;
  • Shorter collar (12.5 cm), knitted initially on 3 mm, and continued on 2.75 after R 5. Decreased 3 times x 20 sts (3- decL) on rows 17, 25 and 31 (60 sts decreased). Italian BO in the round after twisting the knit stitches (min 2:46) for collar, sleeves and body.
  • Body and sleeves knitted using 3.75 mm needles.
  • decreased the sleeves 6 times to fit my arms.
  • underarm body length 12 inches (30.5 cm).

In retrospect, I should have knitted it top-down, as recommended, but beginning with less stitches and increasing them afterwards. My sweater has a demarcation line of oddly twisted rib stitches between the collar and the sleeves (second pic). Oh well…
