Knitted toe up with Judy’s Magic cast on, starting with 10 stitches and increasing with lifted increases every other round for a fairly pointed toe.

Increased to a total of 60 sstitches - this give a minute negative ease for my foot (I am a loose knitter, coming in at 8 st/in with this yarn and needle.

Foot construcion: sole stitches are purled so that the smooth side is on the inside. This will probably be the last time I do this, because it is a total pain in the arse.

Heel construction: Modified Sweet Tomato heel -Wedges one and two are constructed on 40 stitches (2/3 of total), and knitted or purled consistent with the preceding rows. This brings the purled foot-bed up around the back of the heel.
-NOTE FOR SELF: in the future, wedge 1 can be a shorter/smaller wedge as well.
-Rather than creating a partial wedge for wedge 3 and leaving the center a bit wider, wedge 3 is constructed on 30 stitches - the original sole stitches. This shaped rather nicely, I think. Wedge 3 is also knitted on the outside, rather than continuing the purled foot-bed further up the heel.
-Heel construction begins a little bit further back than it probably should to accommodate the pattern - the bees on the outside of the foot needed to be completed before beginning the heel, and better a longer than needed foot than a shorter than needed foot. In the future I would probably plan better and just decrease the rows between repeats for the last set of bees before the heel begins.
