Notes

I Loved knitting this cowl! It’s very addictive, I often found myself saying “Just one more row.”

This pattern is a great way to admire and appreciate your yarn as you must pay close attention to it while you’re knitting. It uses a “Speckle Code,” a set of individual stitch motifs matched up to the colors of the speckles in your yarn. As each color appears you work the appropriate stitch. The yarn tells you what to do and each row is different, so it’s exciting to watch your texture appear and transform! The random pattern it creates is beautiful and fascinating, I find something new each time I look at it.

At this size I ended up with a very snug, warm cowl, it bunches up quite a bit, can be folded or pulled up over the nose. I have worn it so many times already and I loved knitting it so much that I want to make more of them, trying out different speckled yarns! And it only takes one skein which is great if, like me, you’re on a budget!
