Notes

I liked my Speckle Code Cowl so much, both the look and the knitting process, that I decided to make some mitts using the same method, code, and edgings.

They were knit in the round from the bottom up beginning with a Woven Herringbone edging, then switching to the Speckle Code pattern for the main portion of the mitts, ending with Woven Herringbone on both the thumb and the hand. It was a quick and enjoyable project that’s easy to travel with.

I really like the way the Speckle Code texture turns out using single ply yarns like this one from Republic of Wool. It’s so soft and I love the colors, gray with pops of fuchsia, rust and blue.
