Notes

There is definitely a learning curve when knitting these adorable pups! Momo turned out quite a bit better than the daschund from a few months back.

I used yarn from my stash but was much more conscientious about how tight the knit was and whether the filling would show through (i.e. it was super tight and didn’t).

The stuffing part is super important and while I may have over stuffed the legs a bit, Momo can stand up without assistance! The pattern also had a note to run the yarn through the front right leg, the body, and the left leg for more stability and that definitely helped. As did seaming the inside of all the legs to the body after seaming them to the outside.

The pattern calls for a ‘loopy stitch’ to make the fringe. I skipped that and added the fringe afterwards. Just made life easier. The pattern in general is not difficult but it can be a bit tedious. The assembly is what makes or break the project, that’s where you really have to put your game face on (or be a naturally good at that kind of stuff which I am not).

Momo was made after Momo in the Find Momo book pictured. The book and the pup were a gift for a new-ish babe of good friends - Felix. He is also the recipient of the Purl Bee blanket from back in April. May all three be inseparable!
