Using up stash. I wasn’t crazy about the colour (too baby-ish in the old-fashioned, a bit corny kind of way) but now that it’s finished, I quite like it exactly in this way. It looks like a family heirloom, like something my nan could have worn as a baby.

So even though I prefer more modern, cooler stuff, I’m happy I used this yarn for this. It’s a wonderful, lovely design. I intend to make more of them.

The yarn is nowhere near as soft as it should be, considering it’s Merino and Alpaca. Maybe after washing it will improve, but right now it itches.

The colour is very difficult to photograph. It’s truest to life on little Marta.
