Notes

Birthday sweater, due early October.

I couldn’t find the colours I wanted in the weight I wanted, and I found all the right colours in worsted weight. And since the pattern is so simple, I substituted.

Finished, received and welcome. A very pretty sweater.

I changed everything: I worked the body in the round to armholes, then the sleeves, then I worked I yoke top-down with raglan sleeves. I joined the pieces with 3-needle BO, and I finished the neck with a simple edging just to prevent rolling. I worked the yoke in Baby Alpaca Dk, because Felted Tweed Aran was too bulky to join smoothly.

It’s very soft and the colours work great together. I’m not too happy about how the pleat ended up, but when I tried to redo the sewing there was no unpicking the blooming thing. Nuts!

Oh well, it’s still a pretty sweater.
