Notes

Mostly handspun yarn. The brown and lighter yellow sqaures were naturally dyed with onion skins & dandelions respectively (see separate photos). The darker yellow is the only millspun; an organic yarn from a Northumberland farm. I didn’t plan on using these yarns together when I spun them, but the colours went well together & reminded me not only of autumn colours but also the earthy tones that were prevalent in the 1970’s. When I found this crochet pattern, it seemed to fit the 1970’s vibe perfectly. Strangely, it is not on Ravelry but is a free pattern called the Allotment Jumper, available online.

The top part of the sleeves were spun as a fractal ply from a gradient that was a Christmas swap present & toned in nicely.

Decided against neck & bottom edge bands as I didn’t think they would add anything.
