This is a very fun knit. The pattern is easy to memorize, and the spacing of the “shreds” is not critical. The fringe does take a long time.

My mods:

I used size 8 instead of size 9 for most of the cowl, as I wanted it to be closer around the neck. I switched to the size 9 for the last few rounds. Also, I added another repeat of three of the dropped stitch shreds, all in the same rows, to make my cowl a little longer than it would have been due to the smaller needles. I love it. The yarn is NOT itchy. YAY!
