Stitch count

The stitch pattern is a multiple of 4 + 3. I did 9 repeats (the original pattern calls for 11). I also wanted to do a two stitch I cord along both sides, so I added four more stitches to the total. This gave me a total of 36+3+4= 43 total stitches cast on.

Cast on

I used the Chinese waitress cast on, which has a very icord like appearance. This mirrors the edges of each row.

Two-stitch icord row border

I slipped the last two stitches of every row purlwise with yarn in front, turned my work, and knit them to create an icord on each side. Much cleaner than just knitting to the end of the row, and also cleaner then slipping the first stitch of each row.

Bind off

I used an icord bind off. I used the entirety of two skeins and was left with just a few inches of yarn.

Unblocked: 64” long, 6” wide
Blocked: 82” long, 7” wide

I’m making this for my Aunt for Christmas - starting early and hoping to finish it by the end of May! This was originally a reversible rivulet scarf.
