Notes

Notes:
Absolutely essential to do the yo after the 1st of every row, to prevent the top edge from being too tight. And remember to drop the yo at the end of the row.

LT2 was looking sloppy, so I tightened up the first purl stitch of the repeated pattern on the wrong side, which helped.

I rewrote the pattern in my own shorthand so there’s less to refer to. Just remember that every row begins with k1, yo, kfbf, (except row 8 has kfb instead). Then those sts don’t need to be written.

I did only 11 pattern repeats.
I wanted the ends to come to a point, so I continued the pattern increases on each row for the garter border. Those last rows were endless! So I did only 6 garter ridges.

I rated the pattern medium difficulty only because the LT2 took some investigation as to how to get it looking as neat as the RT2. Those twisted sts are slow going, and although I’d say the pattern is actually easy, it does require continual concentration.

Shepherd’s wool is perfect for this shawl, very soft and relatively affordable!
