My decrease edge was looking jagged and uneven (my purls are loose and knits are tight, and it’s always worst on the first st of the row!), so I added a selvedge st and just knit it on the end of the RS row and slipped on WS. Changed all p’s to k’s and p2tog to k2togtbl. This gives me a better finished edge, and now I don’t have to purl anything!

Weaving in ends after every repeat of colors.

26 leaves total. Knit in looser gauge, so it’s still nicely sized.

Tried to upload pics from iphone using Aurigma Up (because for some reason quickpic no longer works) and it’s full of fail. All pics rotated a quarter turn.
