Trying for a big rectangular “shawl blanket” using Nightshift pattern. Got about 600 g of Rios scraps.

6 sections of increases, starting rectangular section. Did m1 after icord as pattern states, then k2tog before last 3 sts

Decreased down to 6 sts, 3 needle bind off (kitchner probably would’ve looked better, but whatever). Gotta block and snip ends.

Was planning on sewing tapered sides together for a cowl, but they didn’t block to be as tapered as I thought they would be and so I’m back to thinking I’ll be happy with it as a rectangular wrap

Final shawl weighs 637grams, though I have no idea about individual colors. Mostly were roughly half skeins.

COLOR NOTES
I divided my scraps into 2 groups- blues/purples and yellow/orange/reds. Had about 300 g in each group. Pulled from blues/purples for both MC and CC (X and Y in the pattern) until I had about 150 g left. Then used red/yellows for CC until I had about 75 g of blues left and switched MC and CC until I ran out of blues. Mostly switched MC every after every k2s2 section and CC after every k1s1 section
