Putting my own geeky spin on this pattern with my yoke charts…fingers crossed I did the math right! Ten was my first Doctor and is still my favorite; I wanted to pay homage to David Tennant, hence the brown-and-blue color scheme and the border, Ten’s catchphrase from Voyage of the Damned: “ALLONS-Y, ALONZO!”
I-cord cast-on had me freaked out momentarily, but once I figured it out, it was no worries. It just took forevaaaaaar, but it was well worth it.
Mods: only did 1” of corrugated rib; between the i-cord and the rib, the “edging” was about 2.25”, and that’s plenty for me. Went down to a 2.5 after said edging for a firmer fabric, then back up to a 3 for rest of body. Shooting for ~15.25” body. eta Tried on when I got to 15” and was too short; kept knitting until the first skein of TML was all used, and ended up with ~17.2” body.
Started with Norwegian purl very clumsily on the corrugated rib; I’ll have to practice it more, because it’s amaaaaaazing. Ended up holding MC in my left hand and CC in my right for the corrugated rib-- now I can haz real two-handed Fair Isle skillz!
For some reason, most likely due to my interpreting the pattern incorrectly, my short rows started at the very tip of one shoulder, so I ended up with a semi-hunchbacked little flapadoodle. I ripped it out and (with Entrelac’s help) recentered the stitches so they fell in the middle of the back.
Still need to dupe-stitch the yellow lights on top of the police boxes and the door handles.
This pattern was excellently written. There will mos def be more of these in my future, prolly starting with an Eleventy-themed one! I’m also going to try and post the charts if anyone is interested in using them for their own projects.
