Size smaller needle, previous experience with superwash wool. Circumference is fine…Oops, later proved wrong. Length should be shorter (32r/4” vs 30r/4”), a good thing.
Challenging cables. 9! different cables, 4 decreases..
Height really good but overall hat too small for me :-( disappointed/relieved: so much for compensating for superwash yarn which always seem to come out too large.

Since hats for me need to be shorter above brim through shaping. Switched to #6 needle after beginning shaping, then to #5.
