In the first cowl I knitted increases until I had 2 x 34 sts in the needles. Added 34 sts as instructed in the pattern and continued until it was wide enough for the neck.
The second cowl I want to be a bit shorter. Knitted increases until I had 2 x 28 sts in the needles. Added 30 sts and continued.
