Poem - My friend Jack

Come dad look and see what I’ve found under the tree
It’s got a golden body and an orange hat, I think I’ll call him my friend Jack.
I’ll show him my friends, they’ll think I’ve gone nutty when I promise to put him on my sister’s butty.
She’ll shrink and scream and hide behind mum
I’ll laugh out loud ohh what fun.
Mum will chase me with a wooden spoon, I’ll grab hold of Jack and dash out of the room.
And in the garden there’s lots of space, I can hide Jack in any old place.
I’ll build him a cave out of leaves and mud, and build him a roof out of stones and wood.
and if he gets lost I’m sure he’ll come back cause after all
He’s my friend Jack.
