These mittens are really fun and warm too. But the thumbs are too short, and this has always bugged me.

I frogged one thumb all the way down to the ‘afterthought’ live stitches and got completely confused, made a few hasty snips here and some tugging and pulling there… and it started feeling like a disaster.

When I had more time to focus I took it to much better light and tried to reconstruct the live stitches.

We’re back in business… Since I’m all out of the royal blue, I’m gonna re-knit the thumb by striping light blue and dark blue.
