11/12 - Had trouble matching the yarn so I had to send it back to be re-matched.

12/29/12 - Started with an 8 row tab instead of pattern recommendation, I’ve never done this before and followed the suggestion of another knitter.

12/30/12 - This is a really fast knit! Over halfway done with the body. Beautiful yarn too …

1/5/13 - sorry for the terrible pictures, my only camera is on my phone. This yarn is gorgeous.

1/12/13 - still trying to sort out the border on this, for those of you who are not aware, once you get to the border you’re actually joining to the body at points but not knitting across the body. Hard to describe, and I still think I’m doing something wrong because I’ve ended up with the wrong number of stitches as I do the border.

1/18/13 - I figured out what I was doing wrong -- actually I wasn’t doing anything wrong so my tip to everyone -- that first body stitch in the k2tog that attaches the border to the shawl body is actually that last YO before the three stitches so don’t get confused. I kept looking at that stitch and thinking I’d added too many extras so I’d take it apart and start over.

This is a beautiful pattern and once you get going, the border is very easy and enjoyable.

3/4/13 - Finally finished - started a couple of other projects in the middle of this so it took longer than it should have. This was a breeze to knit once Melinda helped me figure out what I did wrong.

On to blocking -- final pictures soon.
