In the not too distant future….

I found this excellent chart for the familiar silhouette of Tom Servo/Joel/Crow from sewgeeky’s MST3K baby sweater. To make this into a hat, I cast on 108 sts.

I knitted 1” in k2p2 rib, then in st st and began the charted pattern. I continued the silhouette seats all the way around the hat. After I finished the chart, I knit 4 more rounds before starting the decrease pattern that I was able to calculate using the “How to Shape a Crown” calculator.

All told, it took an evening to knit.

The next night some friends & I went to go see the Cinematic Titanic performance (basically a screening of a terrible movie with all the MST3K folks doing a live commentary). After the show, there was a meet’n’greet & I showed off the hat-- they all seemed pretty happy to see it & I happily got my ticket stub signed!
