29 Nov 2016: Sewing buttons onto knitting is THE WORST. I’m still not happy with placement (after several attempts on this one AND after having the same problem on Miss D’s hat). However, I’m not spending any more time on it! If it really looks horrible when they try them on, I will re-evaluate.

The ears also look funky in this photo, but I am too tired to reshoot. They are even in real life.

27 Nov 2016: Cast off. Finishing went faster because I took time to weave in ends as I went. Now to sew on the buttons…

18 Nov 2016: Cast on for H-bomb’s Foxy. I had originally planned to make him a gray fox hat (and bought some Rios in Nimbus Gray), but he insisted that it MUST be blue, so I decided this was a good use for a luscious skein of madelinetosh Tosh DK (the plied DK, not Tosh Merino DK, which is the single ply) in Baltic.

As with my Red Foxy for Miss D, I am adding earflaps à la Baby/Kids’ Earflap Hat. See notes on that project for details on cast ons, stitch counts between earflaps, etc.
